The tools are designed to provide controlled audio and useful observations—not to make a browser look like a repair shop.
Browser audio method
The main cleaning cycles use locally hosted audio sequences so playback remains reliable on mobile browsers. Call-speaker diagnostics, speaker tests and the frequency generator use the Web Audio API for live tones, timed sweeps and stereo signals. Audio begins only after a user action, and the phone’s hardware volume remains under the user’s control.
All cleaning audio and fallback recordings are served from Speaker Care Lab rather than an external audio service. Generated tones use gradual gain changes to reduce abrupt clicks and keep output controlled.
Why the presets use a range
Phone speakers differ in size, enclosure design, protective membranes and software processing. Published manufacturer support does not identify one universal cleaning frequency for all phones. Guided presets therefore use more than one controlled pattern instead of presenting a single number as scientifically guaranteed.
Low-frequency movement may help shift droplets near a loudspeaker grille, but the tool cannot measure water volume, pressure, membrane movement or internal moisture. Success is judged only by the user’s before-and-after comparison.
Call-speaker routing limitation
Mobile browsers usually control web audio as media audio. They cannot reliably force sound through the small top receiver on every iPhone or Android phone. The Call Speaker Cleaner first asks the user to listen at the top and bottom of the phone. A receiver sequence is offered only after the user confirms that the tone is actually coming from the top.
The tool does not request microphone access and cannot listen to a call. It cannot diagnose network quality, hearing ability or internal receiver damage.
Safety boundaries
- Begin at low volume and keep the phone away from the ear.
- Stop if the output becomes sharply distorted or uncomfortable.
- Do not use the tools while the phone is charging when moisture may be present.
- Do not rely on sound after salt water, chemical exposure, battery swelling, overheating or major impact.
- Do not insert sharp tools, liquid or compressed air into a speaker opening.
- Follow manufacturer instructions for the exact phone model.
